Angola has a Man in Black Concert over the Weekend; good attendance.

Man in Black Tribute Act at Angola per The Sun  (online) Newspaper:

ANGOLA — After a day of cloudy skies and forecasts of rain and thunderstorms in the area, the Angola Summer Lawn Chair Concert Series moved from its regular location in the village’s Centennial Park to the back-up rain location of the New Angola Theater on Aug. 20 for a concert by the Johnny Cash tribute act, the Man in Black.

Craig Wilkins and the Less Than New Yorkers

I don't know where Angola is located, you can do a Google search if interested; I looked at the CONTACT US area of the website and there was no mailing or physical address shown.

It sounds like it was a good time for Johnny Cash fans and I'm thinking that being inside was more "realistic" environment for such a concert instead of being outdoors.

The article continues with giving more information about the artist and the band:

Taking the stage at 7 p.m. after a brief introduction by Deputy Mayor Bill Houston, Craig Wilkins, the titular “Man in Black” in the tribute act, took the stage with his backing band, the Less Than New Yorkers.

J Cash Lives via 1968 medley on Ralph Emery Show

Here's 4 minutes of melody by Johnny Cash. It's great seeing all of the three guys (Tennessee Three) together! Johnny uses a capo on the first fret on his guitar; all good stuff.

The Last Gunfighter Ballad J Cash Lives Blog

Here's a video filled with gunfighters, friend and foe; law abiding and outlaws. View these interesting pics while Johnny sings his "Last Gunfighter Ballad". (I've heard the song from an album I have and never quite thought of it quite like this, but it is interesting anyway).

Johnny Cash & Bobby Bare - I Still Miss Someone; Two Friends at a guitar pull

I grew up on Bobby Bare's music as I did Cash's and here Bobby speaks of his friend Johnny:

"I'm very excited to be working with Reba and Loretta, but also because of John, who was a dear friend of mine," reflected Bare. "He lived right down the lake from me. He and June were godparents to my youngest daughter. John and I had been friends starting in 1957. He lived in California at the same time I did, so I used to go out to his house for a goat roast or something crazy like that. A bunch of us went out there, me, Patsy Cline, the Carter Family. We'd all have a guitar pull. Those things went on in those days. He was a hell of a man."

While watching this video, I sighed a little. With Johnny playing the alternating bass and strum on the guitar I was reminded of my early guitar lessons. And, his guitar sounded so "in tune". Enjoy watching as these two do as Bobby calls "a guitar pull".

Daddy Sang Bass performed by Paul McCann and 'Get Rhythm

This site is dedicated to Johnny and all those who keep his music alive. One such person I'd like to introduce to you if you've not heard of him and the band "Get Rhythm" is Paul McCann. Listening to the band in this video, I think the music is very "tight", well done and has the Johnny Cash sound for the most part.

Enjoy the video and read an article here with more details about this man in black.

Johnny Cash - I've Been Everywhere Song and Video

Recently I talked here of a play performance called Cash; Ring of Fire. The performers all did a good job and when it came to singing "I've Been Everywhere", they all took a verse; very wise. These are tough lyrics to remember and you have to get them all in there! Here's a video with Johnny singing them all and it shows many of the people in his life throughout his life. Enjoy:
